Six years after it went belly-up, Toys ‘R’ Us is trying to make a comeback, announcing plans for two dozen brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S. The retailer’s parent company, WHP Global, did not say where its new flagships would be located—but it also plans to open stores on cruise ships and in airports. Toys ‘R’ Us once had more than 700 U.S. stores, but shut the last of them in 2018 in the face of e-commerce competition and billions in debt.
