Old School Cafeteria Pizza Recipe

*Ingredients:

+Pizza dough:
°1 package active dry yeast 2 ¼ tsp
°1 cup warm water 110-120 degrees Fahrenheit
°1 teaspoon sugar
°2 cups all-purpose flour
°Half a teaspoon of salt
°1 tablespoon olive oil
Top
°2 teaspoons olive oil
°1/3 c tomato sauce
°2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
°1/2 onion
°½ pound cooked sausage (other toppings such as cooked beef, pepperoni, ham, and bell peppers)

*Directions

Make pizza dough
Whisk yeast, sugar and warm water together in a small bowl. Leave it for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Mix flour and salt together. Add the olive oil and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to thicken.
Knead the dough by hand for 5 minutes until it becomes soft and elastic. Place the dough in an oiled bowl. Covering with plastic wrap also let rise for 30 min

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium to high heat. Add the sausage, and chop the ham into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Cook for 7-8 minutes until the pink color is gone.

Heat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a large baking tray lined with butter paper.
Put the dough on the butter paper. Stretch dough by sweetly flattening dough ball. (You can roll it out thinner if you prefer a crunchy crust.)
Using fork to poke holes in surface of dough.
Brushing dough with olive oil. Spread the tomato sauce evenly, leaving a ½ inch border on all sides.
Add mozzarella cheese and spread evenly over the surface.
Add the cooked sausage over the cheese.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese melts and crust is golden.
Remove the pizza from the oven and transfer it to a cutting board. Cut it into slices and serve immediately.
