This recipe for oven baked chili dogs is super tasty and would be a great idea for a summertime treat or some game day treat. They are a delicious alternative to regular hot dogs!
8 hot dogs
8 hot dog buns
2 cups prepared hot peppers
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 small onion, red or yellow, chopped
° relish, mustard, ketchup, etc.
- Directions :
Heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9 x 13 baking tray with tin foil (for easy cleaning). Put the hot dog buns inside. (I only fit 7, but if you squeeze them together, all 8 should fit)
Squeeze desired amounts of mustard, ketchup and relish into the inner bottom of each cake. Then put sausages inside each bread on top of the sauces.
Put about 1/3 cup of chili peppers on each hot dog, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and onions.
Cover the pan with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
Leave it for 5 minutes and then carefully remove the tin. Use a spoon to help remove the sausage from the pan.
