Today I thought to change things a bit. Lately, I have been obsessed with no-bakes, now I want to try something, well, not new but something I rarely make. Let’s go gluten and dairy-free with this simple homemade Cinnamon Sugar Pecans. Super easy and quick to make and great as a salad topper or sweet snack! All you need are a few simple ingredients to make it. And when you do, your house will smell like heaven! You can make these cinnamon sugar pecans in batches as they are freezer friendly. Also, these are super amazing to give as gifts. Just wrap them in a cute tiny bag or jar. These tender, cinnamon glazed, and roasted pecans are the simplest yet heartwarming to make. Perfect not only for holidays but for every day!
Ingredients :
1 large chicken
1 onion
1 lemon
1/2 stick butter
2 spriggs thyme
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Poultry seasoning
Red pepper flakes
Ground thyme
Paprika
*Use your judgement as to how much spice according to your tastes
Instructions :
Stuff chicken with the onion cut into four pieces, halved lemon and two thyme spriggs.
Then rub the entire chicken with softened butter and liberally seasoned it with salt, fresh cracked pepper, ground thyme, poultry seasoning, garlic and onion powder, red pepper flake and paprika.
Bake on 450 degrees for 20 minutes until the skin is lightly browned and crisp…..
Then lower temp to 375° and continue to bake for an hour until juices run clear, basting the bird two or three times throughout the process.
